Mobile equipment for professional filmmakers

Below are my recommendations for the best basic equipment for professional filming with a smartphone. At less than 200 grams, the smartphone is the world’s lightest camera. However, this can quickly lead to shaky and jerky images and noisy sound when recording. Not every Android mobile phone has a built-in image stabilisation function.

Basic equipment smartphone video

For safety reasons, use a mount that is more stable than a standard selfie stick. For this, you will need a clamp with two threads. This can be mounted on any tripod in either portrait or landscape format, depending on whether you are creating content for Facebook and Instagram Stories or for websites and YouTube channels. For sound, an external clip-on microphone is recommended.
