Breadwinner Moms

A joint project between the German Confederation of Trade Unions (DGB) and the German Federal Ministry for Family, Seniors, Women and Youth.

Sibylle Trost produced film statements and coverage for the Breadwinner Moms (Familienernährerinnen) campaign. At the campaign’s launch event, Fair Chances for Women Breadwinners on 30.01.2013, a film screening on a 3 x 8 meter screen provided a reality check on the subject and greatly fuelled the debate on gender roles, which was moderated by Manuel Hartung.

The films once again provoked discussion on these issues when they were shown at the project’s closing event at the DGB Federal Conference on Women on 21.11.2013.
